This will be the event where God's people will be removed from the Earth before God pours out His wrath on all the wicked people on the Earth. But there are different views on concerning the timing of the rapture in relation to the Tribulation period. Many believe that the rapture takes place before the Tribulation period while others believes it takes place in the middle or after the Tribulation. God has promised His people that they will not suffer His wrath. Some believe that God will protect His people during the Tribulation period, even though many will die for their faith during this period. We know that there will be Christians during the Tribulation but there is the belief that all the lukewarm Christians will be left behind and many will become Christians during this period. What if the day comes when millions of people just vanish into thin air? That view of the rapture has been made into several different movies. 1 Thessalonians 4:17 tells us that "Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord." There is also a theory that there will be two raptures. For the record I believe that there will only be one rapture that takes place after the Tribulation.
